Takeover Rumours

It's likely that NDAs are in place - that's not going to change. I don't think the problem is Sartori or Short (unless they want to buy the hotel and Short is arguing the price) - it really is most likely down to what the group structure is going to look like going forward, and there's really no way of rushing that without the risk of an expensive mistake.
Cheers so probably quite a long wait still
Neil Hall is the UK managing director of Conputacenter. Pretty lofty position. Not sure how big that company is mind.
So just a business meeting then ;)

Does anyone have any clue (seriously) whether a takeover is genuinely going to happen and if so why it is taking so long given EFL must have ratified anything by now ?

Not sure why you think they must have ratified everything, I imagine that stage will take quite a long time. From what I can tell it looks like it took about a month from us hearing that Donald was buying the club to it actually happening. When he came in he said he left Sartori out initially because it would have taken a lot longer if he'd been involved straight away and they needed to get started. Iirc he said the reason for that is that the checks are a lot easier if your business is in the UK, and he mentioned that the fact he's in insurance further sped things up because it's heavily regulated and thus quite easy to show them everything they wanted.

These lads are obviously abroad, will have a significant number of different business ventures which the EFL might want to look into, and there's 4 of them. If they are wanting to leave no stone unturned I'm guessing it could take a long time to fully vet that number of people with that many business interests, some no doubt in less regulated markets when the majority of these businesses are abroad. Might be wrong but I don't imagine the EFL are massively staffed tbh, and this takeover is likely to be significantly bigger than any other they've handled. If it took a few weeks for Donald and Methven I could easily see it being well over a month for these lads. I'm taking it that no news is good news, it must still be progressing and hopefully all signed off soon, no reason to panic from what I can tell
