I genuinely enjoy mine. It’s interesting and challenging and the work life balance is goodI'm happy enough where I am for now, but it's still not something enjoyable.
There's probably vocational exceptions like.
I used to be like the others but some drone on about low level trivia e.g. what colour their kitchen tiles are, or what their kids have done. I have my own problems but I ask on here or even refer to experts, rather than bang on about it to colleagues. I think that many are looking for affirmation of their inane life decisions. The people I work with know very little about me. I’m of the view that the more people know about you the more they have to judge me on. Doesn’t stop them trying though, I’m an “enigma” apparently because I like to keep my life outside of work private.
You’re a taxi driver?I think most are mate. I think they become some form of Crucible where peoples' hang ups/traits get magnified. Having said that, I had a psychiatrist as a customer once, once he divulged that, there was fuck all conversation in the car apart from directions and fixes. Ah was shit scared of getting sectioned. "Did you have a good day yesterday?" "Fuck off, turn right at the end of the road, and no I did not mention sex."
Can’t. It’s not a that big of a deal because I hate being drunk but I do miss the chance of a beer or 2Pissed?

I’d be bored without work
And I get that logicEach to their own but I'd never spend another second working if I had the money.
Sometimes it can be rewarding, but a lot of the time it’s a pain in the arse. Like tomorrow when I have to drive to Swindon.
The civil service is notorious for loads of nosey old ***** who cant help but ask questions about people , alternatively, feed them a load of shiteThe people I work with know very little about me. I’m of the view that the more people know about you the more they have to judge me on. Doesn’t stop them trying though, I’m an “enigma” apparently because I like to keep my life outside of work private.
So are you teetotal then? Must be shite that.I love and hate mine like.
Great money, great prospects and i love being in charge.
I hate that I’m on call 24/7 and I know people say that but I really am.
I’ve been fishing/at parties and had to drop everything to go in.
