That’s no reason to have him back as manager, he’s finished as a manager. Add to the fact the article is just made up bollocks with no quotes from anyone

Well each to their own i suppose, but under his management we relegated newcastle, that's all that needs saying.

I’ll give you a quote. Reiver told me when this takeover talk first broke, so a few weeks back, that the takeover guys had been in touch with Big Sam and were seeking his advice. He swore me to secrecy. I’m not bullshitting you.

Why on earth would the American guys seek any advice from BSA?!! He’s just a former manager that wasn’t even here for very long. What would they need advice on from him

That part was good, but he’s not what we need as a manager

Poor effort. Of course Ive been given the okay. Your secrets are safe with me.

 No probs, only pulling your leg. You and he would be near the top of the list if I ever get any ITK, the contact I had left during the last big cutbacks unfortunately.

polling opinion on the club and its potential from the last manager to have us playing well in the top level (with a wealth of involvement with many clubs too) looks like a decent element in their homework to me tbh.

I’ve never had any info in the past but potentially got some today from someone I’d consider trustworthy. All sounds “done”, as per what @Reiver has said, according to him and the exchanges he showed me and the hold up is just legalities and formalities etc.

He asked me not to post anything on here (not that there was anything earth shattering in what he said) and to be honest although I’m inclined to believe him I obviously have my doubts with all the rumours flying.

For what it’s worth Sam wasn’t mentioned as being involved at all. If Sam does end up involved I’ll know the little fucker was bullshitting me.

How would you or I know ?
I’m just putting it out there that @Reiver told me they were in contact with him weeks ago.

He might know a few details but even if they had been asking him advise, which I doubt that doesn’t mean he will be manager. Plus the sun article that’s linking him is just a load of guess work without any quotes from anyone

We didn’t play well though, we played well in a few games but not many. The most enjoyable football in those 10 years on the premier league was under poyet

I don't think that matters here - they would ask 'what's wrong with the club and the city?', 'Is there any reason they can't do a Man City?' 'We'd make these changes, what do you think?'. He can tell them about issues that the PR machine may be burying. I don't think it edges him any closer to a return.

Must admit though, what you like best is open to interpretation, but 4 defeats in the second half of the season, form in the top half, wins against good sides, building a side after a transfer window that actually seemed like the signings had been bought for a purpose and performed well; regardless of how it ended and how the players did without him, he was impressive here.

The PR machine haven’t been burying anything, they have come in and turned the club around , the only thing we need that they can’t provide is more investment in the higher leagues. BSA wasn’t even here a year
