I think any investor looking at SAFC books from 2017-2019 can tell what a good job Donald and Meth have done. They’ve proved they can keep us sustainable. Reduced the investment risk massively.

I don't think they will have invested in the area etc but rather because they aren't the main investors plus there's a few more investors. Is Miami as bad as our place or should I say, have more investement/development/regeneration potential? I thought Miami was all fast cars, speedboats, sexy women and cool blokes with that fly on the wall documentary from the 80's called Miami Vice?

No - it means the shares are guaranteed a dividend at a percentage of the value. Essentially, MSD are acting as lenders to the deal, but by the ownership of preference shares, rather than a normal loan. This gets them a guaranteed annual payment, and alos the possibility of some capital growth if the Marlins increase in value.

I've only commented about 3-4 times on this 25,000 posts thread as all I'm actually waiting on is the official announcement. I have kept any excitement at a very low level as I want some actual real tangible proof with some specifics as to what is happening. Hopefully when whatever happens does, I'll be like a kid on Christmas morning
