When I was talking to this chap (who is still very well connected - I just mix with millionaires mate not like you with billionaires) I was thinking sod them haway Sunderland dont miss the party.

Looks like I may be getting my way. :)

Pompey's owner is a TV guy. Certainly, he's bought us with an eye on TV rights.

Sports is the only TV people watch live, which means they dont skip the adverts. Football is the global sport, and the Premier League is the global league.

The thing is it is the crowds that actually make professional football the huge draw that it is. Might as well be watching the local working mens clubs playing if there is no fans creating an"atmosphere".

People like Dell will attract people to invest in Sunderland just to be associated with his name.

I've seen instances whereby a billionaire has attracted so many people to invest in a building project that they've not needed to put in a penny of their own money ... I'd guess the name Dell can attract sponsorship/investments/corporate money that might be enough for this season's needs.

Exciting times.

Not sure you have said much on the possible Sheepfolds project (?) but if MSD want to get involved that would be fantastic for the city of Sunderland.

Having a world leader, like the Dell brand, is going to be fantastic.

Convince me again it is happening?!!! :)

All I mentioned was that my Italian mate asked me what a sheepfold was ...
