Takeover Rumours

Interesting - if TV rights do eventually go club by club it's not hard to start joining dots within the overall Dellisphere.
Long story...I had a very interesting conversation with an ex very senior contact at NUFC not so long ago. Whether we like it or not TV rights is the fundamental key to footballs future certainly at the top.

If we are going to have these links and be at the party it can be only be for the good of the Club. Certainly if we are to be a real player.

They only own small holdings in these companies - they're investments rather than businesses where they'll have an active say in their management.

True, I didn't even know the Virgin Media one, but the earlier posts are all based on their largest holdings only, including Liberty Media. Rather than a wider based investment portfolio, that is - where they are reported to have made an investment to enable a venture by the recipient rather than just built up a chunk of shares within their hedge fund type activities. The inference here is that MSD Capital were part of the clout behind the Liberty Media Formula 1 purchase, though it's hard to establish the level of involvement, if any. Certainly they have a stake in Liberty Media who own Atlanta Braves outright, so it's not slices of slices of slices as much of the overall pie is.

Time to move on , whoever signed Grigg is now immaterial he is now our player and I think if we played to his strengths he is capable of better . Certainly our midfield does not create the chances that he was used to at previous clubs and he scored a lot of goals , surely the amount of data available to Jack Ross should give him an indication as to how to utilise him better .
Agree mate, I'm a massive fan and he will score goals as soon as we try playing some form of attacking football

These people will be able to open doors we wouldn't have known existed ...
.... it won't just be hoying a few quid at the club.

Linking this thread and Ricky Alvarez thread together

The decision to launch litigation against the old club doctor would definitely be something that would be discussed and potentially hold up due diligence completion.

It also fits within the term 'staffing issues'.

Just saying.

You might be right mate but personally I don't see it affecting things. If it was someone suing us (yet again!) then it would, because obviously it could be a huge liability to come in which could affect the profitability of the club, but I doubt it'll affect it substantially if we're suing someone else. Like I say I'm no expert like, GOM might know more than me on that one! Makes it easier with SD staying as well, even if he thought we were likely to win and therefore the club is likely to be £13m better off than the books show, I'm sure it's something they could agree to address with an agreement in principle and finalise if it happened

In another version of safc somewhere in a parallel universe we have the man with the keys. Shame it's not the sim we are in, or is it, is it all about to change...
I was making a reference to the lack of an SAFC player with creativity

in 10 years time top players in their prime will play for US teams in global champs league - the top 5 richest teams in the world if you assume our goes through are (NY Redbulls, LA Galaxy, Juventus, Man City, SAFC) - mental really.

Some clubs in the Premier could survive comfortably without fans on the gates at all. It’s a sad state of affairs.
