Takeover Rumours

Just looking at MSD Capital's holding, they have an astonishing spread of ownership via their layered companies from Burger King to GHD hair products to Morgan Chase to The Food Network to Calvin Klein/Hilfiger. In terms of sport, I notice they own Liberty Media, which means they own Formula 1.

They also own an astonishing array of TV companies which would perhaps be an outlet in the States for SAFsee.

Came on to see if we were any further along with the takeover.

But it's just been a discussion on the EFL final against Portsmouth, a Will Grigg discussion, and obviously a 'Ross out' thread!

Should we not just merge all the other threads into this one?

Whats the mood like there? Unrest amongst fans?
A bit. Doesnt feel like our seasons started yet, after this weekend we'll be 3 games behind. Results have been worse than our performances, but we also need to be better than we have been. Season could still go either way - we could go on a great run and be up near the top, or poor form could continue and Jackett gets sacked.

Well one thing I think we can all agree and unite on, is that this takeover blatantly won't happen. If i've learnt anything from the President of the United States its that all news = fake.
I think we have learned from Mr.Trump that the difference between genuine and fake news is what suits your own personal agenda. Facts are not set in stone and what one says or does one day, can be different the next and when dissenters question this anomaly THAT is fake news.

Good lad. Back on topic, I don't think your information is correct re: Liberty Media though.

Cheers mate, really need to think about travel & accommodation for Accrington ...

... in the meantime the whingers can spend their weekend twisting themselves inside out on here ;)
Hope you get sorted out. 1st time for me at Accrington which pubs do most of us use.

Now there’s an idea 😉

Fireman Sam identified himself as a white working class heterosexual, and was sacked by Lincolnshire Fire Brigade as a result as we all know this is BAD. I think it is probably better to stay in the closet if you are anything like Fireman Sam as you may be discriminated against
True but fireperson Sam would be a highly trained professional who could egress from any calamity, including being stuck within furniture.

Yeah, I have my doubts now so I'm still digging - The majority owner of Liberty Media is John Malone who has quite a number of sports holdings, so I'm looking to see if MSD Capital owns a slice.

I am now up to date and I'm going to change tack
If I don't see 100 plus unread posts I am going to miss the unread and just read the last page, if we don't have 100 new posts zi now know it hasn't happened YET

Who is Liberty media mate?

Massive American TV company headed up by a Billionaire (John Malone) that has diversified into a lot of sports things like the Atlanta Braves and most recently outright ownership of Formula 1. There appears to be a link to MSD Capital - which I'm still trying to figure out, but private investment is often very secret compared to public investment.
