For all we know it could be the EFL who have the issue. they've been slammed for the Bolton and Bury carry on, so they might be going through everything in triplet..

I’m not sure why anyone would believe anything that’s posted on here. In my many years of visiting this site, you could count the number of reliable “ITKs” on one hand, and some of those don’t appear here any more.
I think it would be sensible to wait for the news on the BBC, or similar.
 
Isn't the most likely scenario that it's done or as good as, but multi-million dollar deals take time to complete and something must be delaying the finalizing/announcement?

Nah, must be off because an arbitrary deadline wasn't met as there are never delays with this sort of thing. If patience is a virtue should we be at all surprised it's in short supply on this forum?
