Takeover Rumours

What I said was that it had gone too far to retreat from.

That still applies and, in addition, no one wants to retreat from it.

All parties are just like the supporters ...
... can't wait to tie up the loose ends and get the show on the road.
Thanks for that post I was starting to worry... getting the evils from the wife as we are supposed to be on holiday

I agreed with Chris Sutton’s analysis the other day on BT. Unfortunately we, as a club, are utterly consumed in misery. At this point I just don’t see it changing.

I hope I’m wrong. I hope the takeover goes through, we end up minted and competing with the likes of Everton, Wolves, Leicester. Do I see it happening? I can say with certainty, no. Any slight bit of optimist is always, always followed by misery, false hope and let downs. That’s a fact of being a Sunderland fan, and you know what...I’ve made peace with it.
you are a mag. thought this was common knowledge.

You’re not a Sunderland fan though?

The thread has brought out the regular attention seeking negative people, the anti Geordie and Tyneside people( even though our club has its biggest asset there) and the excitable inpatient people.
It's inevitable.
Personally, I think it's going through its natural process and will be done when it's done, and it will be! I'm still paddling quicker under the surface mind.

, I am a Geordie and proud Sunderland supporter.
If you notice I have been changing as many mentions of Geordie's to Mags
I have noticed that a lot more posters now refer to them as Mags now rather than Geordie's which I appreciate.
Hopefully we can regain the word Geordie's for all in the North East and have it disassociated with the mags

its this place man, its manic. I bumped into 2 lads who go to games on our bus, and they were blissfully unaware of all this panic mongering we see on here. They never venture on to any message boards ( lucky sods) and as far as they're concerned, ' aye the takeover talks are going on, but it makes nee difference til January'.....

Remember when football used to consist of going to the match and the odd snippet of news in between? Quality.

A very enlightened approach. I commend them.

What stage of a football club takeover should they be at after 3 weeks of talks?

I haven’t got a clue about these things but the finances should be in reasonable shape, debt levels we were told, were under control.
