Takeover Rumours

Don't get the dragged on theme here. If I'd looked at and was interested in buying a house it would probably take longer than a month to complete, this is so much bigger and more complicated.

I'd agree with that. It's pretty obvious that they are subject to football legalities and the football bodies are gonna do it in their own time, and it follows depending on when they are available. The takeover of SAFC will be far from the only item on their agenda.

My personal opinion is that I can't see 3 wealthy Americans turning up at a SAFC match were they not serious and about to invest. On the other side of the coin, it goes with being a Sunderland fan that people are anticipating the worst. I don't think this length of time suggests any problem because as you say there is a lot to sort out when it comes to a football club and a few bodies involved.

Why are they investing, by the way? Have they stated their reasons?

Another day gone hopefully tomorrow ? Can't see anything that would disrupt planning for Saturday so another weekend of speculation. Can't see this clearing this month unfortunately but we soldier on to Accrington nevertheless

The thread has brought out the regular attention seeking negative people, the anti Geordie and Tyneside people( even though our club has its biggest asset there) and the excitable inpatient people.
It's inevitable.
Personally, I think it's going through its natural process and will be done when it's done, and it will be! I'm still paddling quicker under the surface mind.

Stuff but it's not going on here, @Reiver has the conch just accept what he says is said in good faith and I haven't heard anything that he has posted is incorrect, safe to say as far as everything is as of this minute ticketyboo, just patience needed.

There are people with more precise info than me, all positive so far, who have no intention of posting.

No surprise when there's a minibus load of 'flying bigots' diving in to spread their unsubstantiated misery on here.

"I have a gut feeling the takeover is off ...
... oh yeah, and there's a meteor heading for Sunderland that will destroy the ground."

Why buy them then?

When the credit crunch hit, and banks nearly went tits up, millionaires bought houses, so if the banks do go under their millions would disappear, they still have cash coming in each month from the rent, and their capital is now bricks and mortar it’s safe as houses.

Billionaires bought, races horses, hotels, shopping centres, and football clubs for the same reason.
