He might still be the biggest investor of the group mind, cash-wise, we just don't know yet. I'm sure it's already been mentioned that passive simply means he's not going to be on the board. @Grumpy Old Man is more than welcome to correct me but I'm assuming there's nothing against the biggest shareholder not being on the board, he might have a large share but be happy trusting the others to actually make the decisions, which wouldn't be a surprise since they seemingly already manage his finances

So what's your problem with the RR podcast? I've been around enough of these things to know that the announcement date is fluid. If it's ready t be announced tomorrow, they'll do it tomorrow. They won't hang about till next Friday just to make Barnes good. What he's more likely to have been told is next Friday at the latest.
 
This is a bit like the house purchase I’m trying for. The lad who is selling the house in under so much pressure from his sellers. “If you don’t hurry up the building company will buy our house themselves and put it back on the market” etc

I thought it would be done and dusted on Monday this week but there were a few more dots and crosses to do that we didn’t expect.

Chill out lads and lasses. These things take time. If it happens it happens. I’ll hopefully raise a glass from a house with no carpets and beds that need building never mind making.

you are disrespecting them completly..and they are the people who deal directly with the club..SD and CM come to them for their interviews.. are you really sure you are not a mag..
 
Maybe The tinpot RR have been told there’ll be no future info given to them as the new owners want a more professional outlet so they are just running with their version of events

Deal is done and deal is announced are two different things. The hold up is far more likely to needing key immediate post-acquisition steps in place so they can announce everything at once.

Here's a question for the doubters.

Roker Report, after battling on through relegations and endless disappointments, are on the verge of being linked, in however small a way, with one of the most exciting times in this club's recent history.

They can be one step away from Dell and untold finance which has already been said will be used to develop all manner of projects.

Does anyone really believe that, without any permission, they'd just think 'fuck it, let's just announce the takeover before it's even been confirmed' ....

... haway man, I know some people would rather believe this is all just another kick in the teeth but ffs give it up :lol:

Just a pity that Ross,Hill and Coton have not been relived of their duties because unless they have been dismissed its the same old on the pitch
 
i think it would be excellent if these lads turn out to have 'our' sense of humour and have the deal all done and dusted but are having fun reading our antics on here, so are stringing us all along for S.A.G.
 
So is Barnes talking shite when he (effectively) says it’s not done yet?
