The RR podcast is saying that we've been taken over by Michael Dell. I thought it was widely accepted that Dell was going to be a minority shareholder? Makes me question the veracity of the whole podcast tbh.

Like I say mate - nick Barnes appears to be saying it’s not done. He’s not for one second saying there are any problems so he’s not saying a ‘serious risk’ of not going through but at the same time not done, which also conflicts with some things said on here.

Barnes might be talking shite of course - but he’s pretty clear in what he believes the position to be. Paperwork still being reviewed, EFL approval still required.
 
To show you an example of a takeover when no one new look at the Deloittes/Anderson merger - we left work on the Friday came in on the Monday and the deal was done. Other takeovers take absolutely ages to get over the line - I worked on one for nearly a year. there is no [prescribed timescale, they often have bumps on the road and some fall through at the last minute. I was at one completion when two sides were arguing and someone said where are the MD's. They came in and said we did the deal outside - it can just vary significantly.

I ask again. Do you not think the club would ask them to pull it if there were serious problems? RR need to have a continuing relationship with the club irrespective of what happens. Do you really think they would ignore such a request? Or are you really hoping this all falls through so you can go back to bitching about everything?

I don’t think the club give 2 fucks about RR. They won’t be listening to their drivel. I don’t see why you keep bringing them up.
 
It’s clearly getting to a critical point in events. It’s all on lock down. Mind Roker report have done themselves no favours if it falls through with that podcast.
That said looking at the photos of the Wimbledon game that sure looks like dells son taking to cm.

They start with saying we've been taken over by Michael Dell, or more precisely a consortium fronted by Michael Dell - doesn't sound factually accurate so far...if that's fed to them by the club it's at odds with what's been supposedly fed so far

Because the club have a view on how matters are presented. They talk to different fan-related organisations all the time. They wouldn't want RR reporting something that wasn't going to happen - it makes the club look idiots just as much as RR. It's called PR - something that Methven is an expert in. You control what the media say as far as you're able.
