Eh?

Bromley is in a more itk position now than he was then and he will still be in touch with all the RR lads
Yeah I’m sure he’s happy to feed confidential info to his mates. Not that he will have any. Employees generally don’t have a clue what’s going on at the top of a business.

It’s tricky looking for nuggets of truth in the mass of misinformation.

Nick Barnes tonight said his latest information had come from the most impeccable source possible (I’m reading that as SD) and said that everything was on track but because of the enormity of the deal and the sheer scale of paperwork to pore over with a fine toothed comb, that due diligence would take a few days to finalise. He said the papers are with the EFL who's legal team will be doing their own version of due diligence.

Given the recent shenanigans with Bury & Bolton you’d expert the paperwork to be scrutinised in forensic detail.
I dont think after Bury and Bolton fiascos, I'd trust the EFL to do just that.

You mean the person who said that the suggestions on Twitter were that it was off, and then ignored people asking for links or that was wrong? I. Am. Stunned.

Just a hunch but I'd imagine what he tells them won't always be shared with the rest us. Just what they want us to know

Sounds positive mate. Ha'way the paperwork sifters!

He’s also said it’s not done Tbf.... they are stilll going over finer detail and need EFL approval.

Still positive like but doesn’t sound either ‘done’ or close, if he’s to be believed

I was asked by a mate at work today about all of this. He is of the unfortunate persuasion but not at all blinkered and a very good egg all round.

"But if these guys are genuinely billionaires, what the hell is in it for them? It was and is a good question.

I had to tell him that I haven't got the first clue as to what, if anything is going on and, that if the rumours are true, which even pessimistic owld gadgies such as myself can at least half believe, then it will represent a mystery of the ages.

I have told him that there is likely to be a monorail, heiliport, airport and stock exchange put in place without delay. And that cheesy chips will still always be available.

Money. Plain and simple. Buy us for £40-50 million, invest £100-150 million to get us established in the premier league and that’s still only half what Ashley wants for the mags. Yes there’s uncertainty around promotion but the infrastructure is better here than many other clubs and we own both the stadium and academy. The Netflix documentary has given a global audience to the club that they also want to capitalise on.

Alternatively they could spend £400 million buying the mags then another £100-150 million on getting them higher than they are now. That just isn’t as good a return.

your middle paragraph makes me question how Bolton and Bury ever ended up with the crooks that they did? They must be experts at avoiding scrutiny.

Surely they wouldn't release a podcast as so matter of fact if it was just speculation on their part, they'd never get anyone from the club doing a podcast with them again.

It's only natural to start questioning things when the goal posts keep being moved by weeks. It's not most on here would like to hear but there's always a chance it could go south and that an agreement can't be reached.

I'm guessing but with the amount of lawyers and folk that these new fellas have on their books , I find it strange that it's went back to due diligence stages mentioned weeks ago.

Just going to have to have faith that it all works out...I'm going to remain positive.
There is zero factual evidence to say it’s not going to happen- there is real evidence with their interest and being seen at the SOL- why would 3 billionaires turn up in SOL to watch a third division game ffs ! It’s happening

And there you have it. They are guessing. I’m sure they got loads of extra listens to their shit podcast though.

And yet, they have.
