Sirs Andrew and Geoffrey

Parkside

Winger
Thoroughly deserved for the Always dignified Strauss who constructed the template for the World Cup win and has pioneered the Ruth Strauss Foundation. Sir Geoff's is for services to boredom at Cricket both as a player and commentator.

Boycott: A selfish player not particularly liked by his team mates, a selfish administrator not particularly liked by his county, a selfish man who whacked his other half about (has he ever shown contrition?) and someone who has hinted a few times that he’s a bit racist. It makes an absolute mockery of the honours system that he’s been knighted.

They give it to twat MPs every single year. Been a mockery before I was born and I'm 26.

I can't believe anyone would slate boycott as a player. What england would give for someone of his calibre right now. Genuinely one of our greatest ever openers

Love boycott on the radio when the games are on. I think awards and knighthoods are given out far too easily anyway, so come to expect people will get them i dont particularly agree with

I wish we could find an opener with 10% of his doggedness.

Pleased for Geoffery i enjoy listening to him and has an unbelievable record for england and yorkshire, does some very good charity work too. People always comeback to a mistake he made like no one has ever made one themselves also without knowing the true facts.
Strauss got his a bit too soon for me but good luck to the fella ceratinly did well in his playing days and major part in the world cup win along with his recent charity work.

It’s one thing forgiving a mistake, it’s quite another making him a knight of the realm. He’s even blamed the EU for his ‘mistake’ man

The facts are that he was convicted and his explanation was deemed unrealistic

Its over 20 years ago and you cant blame him for being bitter if he believes he is innocent i would doubt anyone wouldnt be bitter about being found guilty if they are addament they are innocent. Its gonna split opinion and for some of his other remarks too but i think he deserves one and he certainly has done far more than a number of others who have one.

I’ve read a bit about the court case and I do think not all the facts were heard in court. I do feel that justice wasn’t served on that occasion.
I should add I am totally disgusted by domestic abuse and it is utterly wrong in whatever manner it is carried out.
Everyone boycott has ever met says he is not violent, he is teetotal and he is now almost 80.
I think it is unfair these politicians saying he is a disgrace to Yorkshire. He is as my dad would say , a Professional Yorkshireman, is a great ambassador for the county; this is a lot more than can be said for some arsehole politician.
Lovely technique anarl!

What have you read that makes you think this?

A quick google suggests she had bad facial injuries, which the judge said couldn’t be attributed to a fall.

Interested what you have seen differently

People can twist all they want

He battered his lass

Was found guilty twice

He did it

Should never been knighted

Nonsense

He had 2 goes to present his case

Any evidence he had should have been presented thers

He did it, sorry. Being a good cricketer and ambassador doesn’t make up for the fact he smacked his Lass around
