Takeover Rumours

It appears that Charlie was instrumental in getting the ball rolling on the whole thing, from what I've read mate. Although he does get a bit of stick on here, I don't think there's any doubt that he does a great PR job for us. I for one hope that he is hanging around for a while longer with us.
This^ While Charlie isn't everybody's cup of tea, occasionally putting his foot in it with comments - but he certainly speaks the language that people like the Dell Boys speak.

Dear man
Making the seams between the shell or deck planks of a ship watertight. Caulking is a technique whereby the gaps between the shell strakes or deck planks are sealed using fibres, cord and pitch.
Not on a steel ship, it would appear, old bean. See the reply from @George Collins above, who kept me reet. But, as I said from the outset, I'm nee expert. Anyway, it was arl in jest, as I'm sure yanar.

Why is everyone eager to get this pushed through, these things take time and it won't effect us until January anyway.

But from now until January we can start by cleaning up the ground, putting new systems in place, new scouting staff in place?

There's tonnes of things that can be done to improve the club back office

Have you tried Morgan's long lost cousin Ron Zacapa? I can highly recommend it. Hated rum and whisky for years 'cos me dad used to drink Lambs and Bells. Discovered whisky wasn't just Bells after Uni, but took a while longer to find that rum could also be a quality spirit.
yeah, blended whisky is only for lighting the B_B_Q, a good single malt, well that's a different beast altogether.

Whilst it will be fantastic to be taken over, isn’t there a major flaw?

Donald remaining and running football operations? (That may be a little simplistic but seems to be the general gist). He has thus far proven to be completely inept in this most important department. Never mind all the other jackanorys that have been spun via RR.

It doesn’t makes sense for these extremely successful business people to entrust the running of the football club to him.

i think he will be more of a figurehead chairman and they will do what John Henry has done at Liverpool and brought in absolute proven people to run the football and commercial sides

Yeah... Worked a deal to write off the debts, saving the club essentially. Restructed from top to bottom. Now this.

Some people want instant success and if it doesn't happen they're first to criticise, even though they couldn't even tie their own shoelaces
I'm sure that since day 1... actually day -1... setting the club up to be an attractive investment for someone has been the plan - and it looks like it's coming off.

Many decisions if not all will be attributed to this and looking at it through that light makes a lot more of the decisions seem understandable.

Awwwwh man the night sky’s big innit? Did you see those UFOs heading ower towards West London? Loads of em. Every couple of minutes they were.

😂😂😂

You do remember the state of the football club before SD + CM turned up don’t you? You remember how many pro footballers we had on the books after relegation? We didn’t get promoted, but we got within 90 minutes of it. Considering the state of the place it wasn’t a *bad* season despite what history will say. SD needs to be judged at the end of this season, in terms of league placing, and encouraging further investment. In one of those, he seems to have the bases covered. 😀I believe we’ll see improvement in the other this season too.

Dismissing SD as an amateur and know-nowt is disrespectful in the extreme. He’s just sold a £10m insurance company he built from scratch, and looks like he’s about to pull a once-in-a-lifetime deal off.
