The whole staffing issue could mean a number of things. Many people have presumed it must be Ross and his future but staffing issues at a football club could relate to many other things.

A deal this big will never let anything slip until it’s slapped in your face with an official announcement/press release

It’s unusual if they’re leaking stuff to BBC Newcastle when ALS and RR have been where they’ve given information to previously.

Maybe, just maybe, these blokes are slightly better at controlling situations than others? Maybe they'll release information when they choose to? Maybe they sail in a metaphorical vessel that has been properly caulked, welded & Reivetted? Maybe, just maybe, they're rather good at this sort of thing & we aren't familiar with such absence of incompetence? Points to ponder, Gordon. Or not, as you wish.

I think BBC Newcastle are just speculating at possible timeframes. If it is a “staffing issue” then presumably it can be resolved once a decision has been made. Why would that take a week/ week and a half to sort?

Which is all well and good, except they’re the ones who likely leaked it to RR and ALS in the first place. :lol:
