Didn’t you know? Shotton Airfield to be modernised and extended beyond the old pit heap and developed as Sunderland South International Dellport. So that is Sunderland North at that other place owah the wattah but the main base Sunderland South with a high speed underground link to The SoL utilising the existing underground “auld gannens” of our glorious mining heritage. Connections to be driven to Wingate, Wheatley Hill, Thornley and beyond to what will be The Dell Tube system. This will be the first “legacy” project of the new owners. You heard it here first, this is the thread that tells it all first!
