Takeover Rumours

I’m 62. Been supporting County Durham’s team since I was six and my family took me as a treat. In those days loads of coaches ,left from Hartlepool bus station. The platform on the railway station was packed every home game.
When I was 11 I used to go to the games on my own by train.
1973 and the big interest was still there, but gradually that interest waned in my town as we left County Durham and joined Cleveland and the club’s fortunes dipped.
Peter Reid and the interest returned. Right now interest is pretty poor in my town. This takeover might just bring that interest back.
On a personal note, I really hope we make inroads. My daughter is a single Mam and her son is only three. His dad is a Man United fan. Goes to see them now and then. Has bought my grandson their strips. Watches their videos with him.
My grandson sings “ We love you Sunderland we do” by the time this takeover takes off he will be ready to go to matches. I hope by then we are competing with the likes of Man United and he tells his Dad to shove it.
Get him a mlf top mate can't go wrong

The train has left the station for clubs since FFP was implemented - the days of clubs doing a Chelsea or Man City are long over.

Any clubs hope of ever winning a title again will be down to a huge slice of luck and 6 underperforming teams (Leicester) or quality recruitment over a number of seasons (Spurs).

Look at Everton and Wolves - wealthy owners spending big money but our best chances are to finish 5/6th and Wolves could be facing midtable with Europe this year.

If I was a betting man - I would say the consortium have seen you guys as being good value for money in League one (asking price being much less than what a 49k ground stadium club would cost in the prem or championship) and see you guys as being a good investment should they get you promoted to the prem and their share value rocket.

Its exactly why Newcastle wont be bought out until they are out the PL and Ashley drops his asking price.

aye no bother. Just pop in and piss all over our parade.

just let us enjoy a little bit of optimism eh?

They heard the chant's from the mags "we saw you cry on Netflick's" or something and then took a look at us and thought they look a much better option. It was something a lad came up with on here I don't know if its true or a rumor but I'm sticking with it.........white lies aren't bad.
People thinking McClaren is involved... Jesus hahahaha
wheres that come from it would put a proper downer on this if he is involved
