@Reiver this is the correct answer. Go on lad, get away from your mobile for a few days, influenza is a good option. Honestly, turn it off and return like the lost hero, white horse n'arl. You've done your bit 😘
He's due a ban anyway, must be a good 4 month since the last one.

I’m 64. Time is running out for me to see us win the Top division. In my lifetime, as well as the big boys, the following clubs have won it;

Wolves
Burnley
Ipswich
Leeds
Everton
Derby
Nottingham forest
Blackburn
Leicester

I don’t care whose money we use to add Sunderland AFC to that list.
Hope to god i don't have to wait that long. 41+ years 😐

cannot ever recall Ipswich winning it although they did come close 1980 ish iirc

1962. Their first ever season in the top flight, as well. They'd been in the old Third Division just a couple of years before that until Alf Ramsey took over, took them up and up and eventually got the England job off the back of his achievements there.

Just a couple of years later, Ipswich went tumbling back down the leagues. They underwent a revival once they appointed a young Bobby Robson as manager a few years later.

Quite remarkable, really.

The train has left the station for clubs since FFP was implemented - the days of clubs doing a Chelsea or Man City are long over.

Any clubs hope of ever winning a title again will be down to a huge slice of luck and 6 underperforming teams (Leicester) or quality recruitment over a number of seasons (Spurs).

Look at Everton and Wolves - wealthy owners spending big money but our best chances are to finish 5/6th and Wolves could be facing midtable with Europe this year.

If I was a betting man - I would say the consortium have seen you guys as being good value for money in League one (asking price being much less than what a 49k ground stadium club would cost in the prem or championship) and see you guys as being a good investment should they get you promoted to the prem and their share value rocket.

Its exactly why Newcastle wont be bought out until they are out the PL and Ashley drops his asking price.

Nail on head there fella, but no one you have mentioned there will have a Monorail. I think that will be the difference for us.

Money spoilt it. Champions league mainly

Think the tory clubs should fuck off to European league and don't darken our doors again.
