Im pages behind so someone might have said this further up but billy you have highlighted the most important thing recruitment, its been shit for years.
Im in Spain and know for a fact weve never had anyone concentrate on LaLiga over the last 10 years. And we've bought some foreign dross over the years.

I also know people here scouting for the likes of Boro, Villa, Bournemouth and Brentford - which sums up the current situation, theyre all above us

Given what he's done at lower level, what's to say he can't do it if given even better resources and finances? ;)
If the owners are serious about investment long term then they will be looking to reach the EPL as soon as they can and push the club on further..That, for me would indicate and suggest that the new owners would want to be challenging for the top spot, cups and ultimately a trip or two into the European competitions with the higher profile that would bring.. That would also include looking abroad scouting for top players to recruit to make the club very competitive. I would suspect Wilder would be found wanting on that front, the same as Jack Ross has been in this league. If your seriously suggesting that Chris wilder is that man to take this club there, without any pedigree of European competitions there are others with a far greater profiles, much better than Wilders, that have proven track records for doing just that.
