I don't think it's holding the deal up,rather the announcement,which,I agree with you,would seem to be something that could come after the main takeover announcement is made. It's fairly obvious that these blokes will make significant changes.

Spot on mate, the deal is done but the media aren't allowed to state that without the go ahead.

If the announcement isn't today/tomorrow then I'd guess its because they want to present a totally united front.

No one would want to see Sampson & Delilah high fiving the Yanks then being asked to leave their outfits on the way out ...
... imagine their little faces
