Takeover Rumours

When this goes through I can’t see wads of cash pouring into the club. Yes, these fellas are loaded, but that’s personal wealth. They are managing funds for a group and SAFC are only one very small part of the investment strategy. At the end of the day they will want to turn a profit from the club.

I do t think we will see big differences in the medium term but maybe more sustained investment over a period of time.

Would be interested to hear what Reiver thinks?

They're investing in a personal capacity, Reports that MSD Partners are the investment vehicle are down to lazy reporters jumping to conclusions,

We are about to have the wealthiest owners in world football like

Actually think about that for a moment and take it in
I can't believe people saying they won't invest much initially they wont want to piss about with us getting beaten of Peterborough and generally playing shit

I think I remember Rog mentioning that of a poster gives permission, PMs can be checked.

Yes, there is a "report" button on a PM just like on a post, and if you report it the moderators can see a copy of it.
It doesn't always help, as we only get to see the particular post, not the full discussion so can't always tell the context of it.

If people do receive threatening or abusive PMs though I would encourage them to report them.

...now can we get the thread back to this imminent takeover

any developments on this thread since Friday, been balls deep in the politics thread since the weekend. Anymore morsels of info from Reiver or owt?

Cant believe talk sport etc haven't got wind of the certain takeover, would expect them to be all over it like a rash.

It would appear that if Stewart Donald is cashing in his financial interest in the insurance business as he needs to increase his investment in SAFC . Logically if the new investors are putting big money into the club the cost of owning a percentage of it increases. If he simply maintained his present investment the percentage that he owned when the new money was put into the club would probably be a lot smaller than it is now. If he wants to retain some influence at SAFC the new investors may be happy for him to do so but they would probably expect him to put up a little more cash given the financial commitment that they are making.

Understandably he wouldn't have risked all that he had on SAFC this time last year but he must think that its quite a different financial proposition now.
