And we know only too well what happens when you are relegated and stuck with crap players and having to pay them fortunes. It is not just us, happened to Wolves,Leeds,Forest, Villa. Wolves and Villa got back by spending power simple as that, there is no other way now unfortunately. There will be no more Brian Clough's winning league championship's with a team of journeymen a year after promotion, then the European cup the year after. The gap is too big. Money talks.

Well fuck them they have had it nowhere near as rough as us we deserve some success and some real hope

All I want in the long term is a Sunderland team to be able to compete in the premier league at a decent level instead of worrying about relegation from game 1 and maybe winning a cup or 2 in my lifetime

I've been going since early 73 and it's been downhill most of the time with the odd bright spot
Been following the lads since about 67 - 68 but wasn't allowed to go till much later.
Hopefully once this goes through the good times will finally arrive that I have been waiting for most of my life
