Takeover Rumours

OK here's a question for all the Mags and manic despressives.

I keep seeing posts along the lines that, despite the vast fortunes these new owners have, it's all totally pointless.

It appears the FFP rules etc mean that rich owners are now prevented from spending serious money and progressing the club.

That is indeed a shame for all Sunderland supporters but does pose a serious question ...

... if that's all true why are Newcastle supporters so desperate to get Ashley out and rich new owners in
If that was the case why would they be investing, surely they have a *vision* of what they would like to do/achieve here?

They do have a vision mate.

I was told all about it but in confidence so can't post it on here.

If Fuhrman's mate repeats it to me, when I see him on Sunday, and says I can post it I'll post it.

Obviously I want the deal to go through asap, however, THIS is what excites me most, men like this dont purchase businesses, which although its our lives, reality is investment wise were a business.

There must be a plan long long before they even turned up in Sunderland as to what they believe they are capable of achieving here.

Its hard to make a large profit on the scale these men would be interested in short term, buying us for the short to make a few million would not even cover the time they spent doing it. I suspect they will already be short, medium & long term plans written. 100% not itk btw.

In my mind, what they see is the set up obviously BUT more importantly a struggling city that lives & breathesits football club like no other. Yes mags will cry thet are too, more so I mean their city has already been regenerated....its possible to make the whole city revolve more so than ever around the club. Tell me a city still requiring regeneration that has one club only with the potential of ours?

Im to young for 73, started with Laurie's hell, believed & loved the ride with Reid & just pray this makes the club great to a level Ive not seen.

They'll want to make money first and foremost. We would need relative success for that to happen. Buy the club for 40m, couple hundred million over a 3 or 4 years, have us say where wolves are now and they're looking at probably getting double their investment back. It's not as simple as that like, but a very basic view of it.
doubling that sort if money is like peanuts to these people. Probably make more in interest doing nothing

Is everything alright at home mate?

I've never seen someone so obsessed with disagreeing with people and attempting to cause arguments.

Look we all know you have major doubts can you just leave it at that. There is no need to continually air your feelings.
