Not so much a hard limit, but the database structure was poor with vBulletin and performance went down exponentially as the number of posts on a thread increased so we limited it to around 1000 or so. That isn't a problem on Xenforo software which we have been running for about 8 years now.
I thought I couldn't find old posts when I was looking for my betfair bets from 2009 for @Sima to stew over as of course we were on different software with phpbb back then!

I occasionally hear ITK stuff from a very reliable source. I’ve been informed of two things:

1. It’s nearly done and they’re at the stage of awaiting EFL approval
2. When I asked ‘why us?’ I was told it was down to Netflix STID.

So no new info really but more or less the same as what @Reiver has been saying (I think, as I can’t be arsed to read all the back and forth on this thread).

Exciting times eh? Haway the EFL!

Any one got idea what EFL approval involves? Is it just a signing off type thing that might be done as soon as someone sits and does it, or is it the full fit and proper persons test thing which is likely to take a fair bit longer, especially with the buyers being from oversees?

OK, this is the latest for anyone who chooses to believe me.

There are two opposing sides of solicitors working on this ...
... it's currently level and may go into extra time.

Hopefully there won't be any penalties

Boom boom, solicitors joke and the latest news ...
... everyone happy?

Corporate lawyers - told you.

Ha'way Tex, you are technically my reliable source. So its as good as happening!

Could try the wayback machine?
Nah, no joy with that but I know what I'm said happened so I'm leaving it as said enough and I'm sure I'll find pics sometime. Good times ahead though so might hoy £50 on us winning CL in next 5 years as an optimist bet rather my previous costly essimistic stuff! ;):lol::lol::lol:

Newcastle and Sunderland supporters are both passionate ...

... but worlds apart in class and dignity.

We were a shoe in
Shoo.

Not go away... I'm sure it was a simple autocorrect... I don't want you being accused of purveying duff footwear based info.

i was happy until 'opposing solicitors'...ffs man, that is like opposing sides of magnets attempting to meet :(

Each side of the deal will have their own lawyers. The implication here is that the final purchase agreement is being drawn up (I'd also infer from that that EFL have cleared the deal in principle). Each team of lawyers needs to justify their existence by nitpicking their way line by line through the contract. This is where the joke about deals only being valid when signed at 4.30am comes from. I think @Reiver may be being a little pessimistic on the timescale; once the first draft is in place it's usually a couple of days at most, particularly if both sets of principals want to get the deal done (they let their lawyers have their little bit of fun, and then start banging heads together).
