I just love it when someone is getting shredded over some stupid shit they've said and keep replying trying to move the goalposts to defend themselves. The first reply was a genuinely helpful response without any malicious intent, all he had to do was say "oh yeah my bad" and it would have been over. Now he's getting called a mag and apparently he's not bothered :) you have to be pretty unwashed to be not bothered by being called a mag!

Embleton was reluctant to sign a new contract until he was given assurances over his playing time. I'd be surprised if the club loaned him out just weeks after putting pen to paper as I doubt he'd have signed a new deal if another loan was even mooted during the negotiations.
Embleton was out of contract he came back to sign what was on the table .He is behind mcguire, mcgeady, mcnulty, and o9 for that role

He may have asked for the loan for more game time till January? Or we may be moving him on because we have another player coming in...if that is the case then he would be better off on loan and getting games under his belt.

Personally, I'd keep him, he can get games in the cup and off the bench, it's a bit pointless to take away an attacking option that won't be on a big wage....unless someone is to come in of course.

That implies the club held all the cards when that wasn't the case at all. The fact the contract offer wasn't revoked and he was allowed to continue training at the academy despite being out of contract clearly shows we were keen to keep hold of him.

It was Embleton's decision to let his contract expire despite being offered a new deal in May. Stewart Donald said himself that Embleton was seeking assurances over first-team football. Considering he eventually put pen to paper on a new two-year deal and rebuffed interest from elsewhere, Embleton was obviously told he'd feature this season.

That said, he still needs to earn his place like any other player, and I agree that at the minute we have better options in the starting XI.

There's a lot of young players like Embleton who should be going out on loan imo because I can't see them getting a game in the first team. That's one thing I'm quite surprised we haven't done so far.
You may have missed the fact that Embleton played the full 90 minutes on Wednesday. We knocked a Premier League team out of the League Cup y'knar!

I'd rather embleton stayed even if he only plays 15 games all season, I'd rather have enough cover in midfield using players we hope will be here in a few years

Did he play OK?
Should pay off Watmore. Injured again.
Very sad.
Deserves some luck

Honestly can't see Embleton doing one mate. Not after he signed a new contract, barely a couple of month back. Alright he was maybe sweet-talked into it by Ross with false promises of starting games, etc, but I reckon if he bides his time, he will get a chance due to injuries. Just my view of course!
