Seriously, there's a massive deal going through and the media hasn't mentioned anything whatsoever despite the new buyers being in town.

In my very limited experience of the media that's because a media event/press conference is being lined up and invites will be withdrawn if anyone blabs.

As SAFC will become a place where reporters will want to be, in the future, I doubt anyone will break ranks.

We're pulling the strings now, how good does that feel

Can I ask what limited experience that is? May be true of locals but absolutely no way would a National not break something first just in case they couldn’t go to an official press conference when all the quotes are available to everyone anyway

Obviously there are other things going on but I'd probably guess that it's because there hasn't been any confirmation/official EFL ratification yet so no material update since last week that anyone outside of the SAFC bubble would really consider worth reporting. Also, it's worth saying that as far as the outside world is concerned, there are plenty of billionaire football club owners in the English leagues, so until there is a significant demonstration of ambition, even if they are mega-wealthy, it's probably not as newsworthy as we might think.

Like everyone else on here I'm excited and full of hope but that probably clouds our view a bit.
