Not sure how to take that really - most of that article was things he said on the Tuffers and Vaughan show when he was asked to give an ‘Australian view’. It’s all fair enough really, or was in the context of which it was spoken on Monday night.
I’m not sure if he’s written that or whether it’s been written for him off the back of direct questioning. Obviously there’s the possibility he’s merely playing up to that 5-0 persona.
Either way, it’s a fairly inoffensive article and certainly not worth getting wound up over.
Nowt to get your knickers in a twist about there.
I don't know. England were utter crap ..... just a single man played out of his skin otherwise it would have been a heavy defeat. It was a freak innings. Oz have played better cricket so far, that's undeniable. Maybe this will have cracked their morale as the Headingley win in 81 did and enabled England to win that series. We shall see.You must be logged on to see external links

In the 4th innings every single England batsmen played below their capability with the possible exception of Denley and even then he only got a 50.
No (I'd say) it doesn't do that. Both sides fuck up somewhere along the line especially in long form cricket. If fuck up mean you shouldn't win then likely neither side should have won. I can hardly recall a century that didn't have a bit of luck along the way.Aye, but being crap is unlucky now. Like how he cites fumbling run outs and dropping catches. Root dropped a simple catch that could've made a big difference. Is that crap or did Lasagne deserve to be out as it was such a simple take? Did the Aussies deserve to be so far ahead? After all most wickets were thrown away by our lot playing poor, rash shots? And that's the point, f***ing things up, especially crucial moments, surely means you don't deserve success.
Aussies 122 for 8 at Edgbaston. England deserved to win there

It's more laughable. A team who makes poor choices, fails to execute and cracks under pressure deserves to win LOL. England of the 90s deserved to be best in the world then.
Don't most matches turn on one or two individuals, eg without Botham and Willis would we have won Headlingley '81? That's the beauty of Cricket any one player's actions can win or lose the match.I don't know. And Dilly starting it all off with some booming backfoot drives and some on the fly switching of the order so that Chris Old could smash Ray Bright out of the attack. That win turned the series, the impact on morale of the Australians meant that they were very vulnerable in the following two Tests.Don't most matches turn on one or two individuals, eg without Botham and Willis would we have won Headlingley '81? Well, yea. But I still contend that the Aussies are the better team.Only got 50? That is a lot of runs in the context of a match where only 3 other players did across both innings
We've all seen football matches where one side has dominated & somehow gone on to lose.
