Takeover Rumours

It wont, most early leavers are people that live outside of Sunderland, they do away early so they can get home ready for their Saturday night out, or whatever, can't blame them, they probably have a an hour or so drive in front of them.
But they leave early to miss the traffic at full time? Suppose there wasn't as much traffic due to loads of fans staying round the ground drinking, having a meal, whatever? Would that change their habits?
Mind I don't necessarily agree that it's mainly people who live outside Sunderland, sometimes if we're winning well theres hardly anyone in the ground at full time. Surely that wouldn't happen if thousands were going to stay behind?

People leave early to avoid the crowds and therefore delays. I have always thought it would help having the concourse bars open after the game and maybe some entertainment on the pitch. If they can do some sort of very good fan zone then it would be good.
I well aware of that, and judging by the long line of traffic on the A19 directly after the match lots of them are making their way home, I have no gripe with that, people can do what they please, if they want to hang round an empty football stadium, that's fine too, I just don't see too many being attracted to that, people like to get on with their day/night, it's only my opinion, but I don't think it's a great idea, is it ok with you that I have my own opinion?

Said it before....the players will give their all for JR and he's respected . He will do well.
He might do mateand i agree wiyh most of what you say. However as i said on here yesterday a lot of these players wont be here next season. Also not a dicky bird about a new contract for jr also out of contract end of season. So like you i hope last wks performance continues but all will be revealed soon i suppose

It’s absolutely incredible isn’t it - and incredibly sad, they must have absolutely shit lives

I suspect they actually believe they'll bring people down to their level ...

... they couldn't put in much more effort if they were salaried

What about those lads that want to have a drink, but can't, because they have a long drive in front of them, maybe they want to get home, get changed and go out for a pint.

We stay til the end, applaud the team off, have a steady walk back over the bridge to the car, and are back in Peterlee by 5:40pm without fail.
Personally I think it’s a feeble excuse to say they’re avoiding traffic etc.

I hope this deal is too far gone for them to now get cold feet ower the bury and Bolton stuff. It would be enough to put a tiny bit of doubt in anyone’s mind.
Realistically, if they've done proper due diligence (and you'd hope they would) it should take a couple of hundred thousand off the price of the club. Without knowing the ins and outs of your finances, it could take you from a profit earning business this year to a loss making one.

If I was a businessman, i wouldn't buy the club for the agreed price if I didn't know whether the Bolton game would happen. That said, I'm not a billionaire so who knows!

Do they have hairdressers come in?

He's not alone is he ...

... this investment has really thrown some of the sadder specimens on here.

There's another, on here now, trying to pick holes in the wealth of the individual members of the group.

The desperation is oozing out of them and they've lost track of how ridiculous they appear.
Like most people, I'm excited at the prospect of this takeover, with, hopefully, the financial security it brings. I can see why we are attractive. With our debts sorted, the books nearly balanced and a Premier League infrastructure in place, we are a project waiting to be developed.
£40m now, there is some scope to spend it mid table Premier clubs are apparently valued at £350m.
However, some are getting a bit carried away with what , in my opinion, the reality will be. The owners will be rich, doesn't make the club wealthy! It's what they decide they want to put in. Furthermore, I can't see them buying and developing around the ground, I could be wrong.
We haven't won the lottery! But may have people with capital and positive intentions for us.

Yeah I hear and agree. Guess we have to hope these players perform whilst probably realising that . Professional so feel they will and I do think a few of them will be here as changing full squad is dangerous. Dressing room has to be kept as you improve.

Expectations on here are far too high, don't want to be a debbie downer but some people are going to be disappointed with the outcome even though I think it'll be a brilliant thing.

Every time the owners wealth is talked about, people are making up figures and they seem to be getting higher every time, I expect they're very very wealthy but unlikely to be "the richest club in the world". Obviously my assumption here is that Dell isn't directly involved, which I don't think he is.

they used to open the bars and have tvs on, but people left the bowls early to get a pint and watch the rest of the game on the tvs. they changed it in an effort to get people to stay

No mate, but if you were gagging for a pint and had to drive a way to get home, then, what would you do, hang around Sunderland with a load of people supping or fuck of home?

It's my belief that they'll engage local business, the council and sports groups to address the area around the ground.

I don't expect them to pay for everything but they'll help push things along.
