We’ve never really been much use at this format. Couple of finals day appearances but it’s a format where we’ve always been heavily reliant on overseas specialists.

That side tonight brings home again however just how painful and deep the cuts from the sword of FTECB were for us. Not just with the players we lost but the constraints placed upon our spending power.

The biggest factor though, is how badly the Blast has been ran - perhaps intentionally too if we’re being cynical, so they can bring that aberration in next year - so that big names (for us) like Stokes and Wood have been nowhere near the side.

I’ve seen Under 13’s who understand they’ve got to get to their stumps when a run is being taken. Not having the inexperience excuse.
 
Most improved player and economical with it has been Rimmington
It was another poor performance after scoring 20 in the first over it just went downhill on all fronts from that point
Thanks Short you did canny for us but you probably realise we have no real depth in this form of cricket and flatter to deceive on most occasions on this format
 
How has d’arcy short only ever played 13 first class games?

Is he one of these with no interest in the longer format or you’d have to think he could be a useful addition batting 5 or 6?
