Think people need to calm down a bit  Lets just get the takeover done and hear what they've got to say
possibly. however, if this was not true Im sure Mr Donald and Mr Methven would have poured cold water on this by now. Agree though Im looking forward to what the new investors have to say.

That's something I admire about the Americans - they know how to run a sporting event. Whether it be tailgating, sports bars around the stadium, giving away free stuff etc. It's all about the customer experience. I've been to XFINITY LIVE when I went to watch the Phillies play. We went before the game and I'll never forget the massive plate of nachos 🤤. Also popped in after the game for a drink and the place was buzzing. It's well set up in Philly with your sports stadiums all being down in that one area.
f***ing Bollocks - I was in Soldier Field last November and 3 of us, all over 40 went to get a beer - only I could as I had ID - the woman (from Ireland) wasn't allowed to serve us

I wouldn't.

Well see a sharp shift in Northumberland shields and Durham folk switching club.

Even lads from the Boro would
This, I joked to a Durham mag at work that in 5/10 years time he'll be a Sunderland Supporter. It might happen as well to loads of them, it would be so pleasing to see how the mags would like it, us stealing supporters off them like they did off us in the early 90's.

Have you seen the size of Greater Manchester and Liverpool compared to Newcastle & Sunderland? Liverpool also get most of North wales.

Edit - Greater Manchester - 2.9 million, Sunderland 270,000. So it's 10 times bigger. And how many do Manchester/Liverpool get from all over the country and beyond?
And how many do you think we get from all over the north east. The answer is loads.

Now we're at the stage where it looks a stone clad certainty I think we should all try a little creative writing exercise of the most typically Sunderland way this could end up not happening.

Here's my effort: Desperate to appear competent having let Bury and Bolton fall into the hands of bellends who were clearly not "fit and proper" the EFL takes a harsh stance and refuses to let a group of multi-billionaires buy SAFC. Six months later they attempt to purchase the mags and it goes through without a hitch. Reminiscent of the time we weren't allowed to buy Brad Friedel due to lack of caps for the USA but Liverpool were allowed to a few months later. The mags become a force in world football and we kick about league one for decades.

I didn’t realise the Brad Friedel piece!
Is that for real?
