Takeover Rumours

Can you see some of this working at football in England? I think it could work really well and differentiate us but you would need some big investment into weather proof facilities

I went to a Phila Union friendly some years ago vs Aston Villa. There was about 10,000 people out in the parking lot tailgating and you could see the English Villa fans saying to themselves “wtf is this?”

I don’t know if England fans would go for it... you all seem very into your own thing and against any kind of Americanisms...I still can’t believe you don’t tailgate?!?! We tailgate for everything...concerts, baseball, highschool games, whatever!

I would think if the Stadium of Light had a facility like XFINITY LIVE next to it, where all the match goers would go before the game for food and drinks, I don’t see how that wouldn’t be a money maker! Just google Xfinity live images to get a peek at what I mean.

We like (proper) drinking and fighting/goading - main difference I'd say

It wouldn't be my cup of tea, but I see where you're coming from & think it might appeal to many. I'm sure your wealthy brethren will have some good ideas, assuming the takeover happens. They'll probably still have good ideas if it doesn't.

They do all that sort of stuff in green bay in 20 feet of snow I'm sure they would be able to set it up for a chilly Sunderland
