Takeover Rumours

If all this comes off, I hope NUFC fans get to experience how I’ve felt about their good fortune since 1992. They’ve completely reinvented their own status. Before the John Hall era, they were getting crappy crowds. And their glorious history was slightly less glorious than ours. Since then, they’ve seen themselves as somehow superior. They’re not. They never were. I hope we get to a point where we can put them in their place. Obviously, that’s a long way off but you never know, with new very, very rich owners. Maybe, just maybe, we might. Here’s hoping
I'd like to think i'd be very humble.
I fercking won't be though.

My gut feel is that it's just waiting for clearance from the EFL.

Would seem very strange for all of them to come over, have the story get out, then show up at the game in the boxes and face all the scrutiny/press, if it wasn't all but a formality. Reminds me of Keano being in the stand vs WBA 😎

Incidentally I loved hearing Sleeves on Under the Cosh talking about how Quinny post-WBA was telling the team how well they'd done ad that this was a new era only for Keane to reply "I haven't signed the contract yet".

They couldn't have attended a better game, well they could have but you know what I mean

The lads played well, it was an exciting game. The flags looked as good as always and the atmosphere was impressive. Even the weather was spot on.

It's been a cracking day.

They even got the full SAFC experience with us conceding a needless goal despite being well on top.

Performance second half was great, atmosphere sounded fantastic too.

Short on had a billion. These have got 70 combined. One of them has Shorts wealth in an art collection.

Which one? Dell? I can sort him out with a few grands worth of original art like, since he's got money burning a hole in his strides pocket. He can consider it a good will gesture to a long suffering supporter of SAFC.

It has never mattered what those feckwits were doing up the road. I was working in scumsville when they had Keegan and Cole and we had Buxton and 17k crowds. I took them all on verbally and found that their real fans left me alone only the plastic wankers would start on me and they were easy prey.
Back then I was proud to be a S.A.F.C. fan, very proud. I still am.
You are right though about them seing themselves as superior to us they always have. Their attitude feckin stinks. We’ve put them in their place before and we will do it again. We will get promoted this season. They will be fighting relegation all season
Chances are we will be in the same league next season and we will have a momentum they don’t have. We have new investors in it for the long run. They will go from bad to worse, sacking cushion face and demanding Ashley leaves.
But aye, like I said, it doesn’t matter what those feckwits are doing (🤥)
Enjoy this weekend and the rest of our season.

Are we going to be one of the richest in world

As far as I can tell that all depends what version of events you accept. If you're a MLF being optimistic you'd say these lads are billionaires in their own right so we're pretty well off, but they also manage money for a multi-bililonaire and with access to his cash we'd be THE richest. If you're a writer for the Chronic who is absolutely rattled and trying to play it down you'd say this is ONLY the three other billionaires and Michael Dell is barely involved in which case we'd be in a great spot but not necessarily about to storm the CL.
