I just love the fact they think that maybe some massively wealthy blokes with personal fortunes in the billions might not be certain about an investment and might be swayed by a few pictures of an empty stand, Adam Johnson, or even (as yesterday) a "buy the mags instead" pitch with a few photos from Newcastle. They're devastated and gutted. If this comes off, and if we do well, it'll finish them off
I hope so. I want to see the chronicle full of despairing mags

Nobody wants the mags as they are known worldwide for never being happy and being uncouth- Geordie shore in America killed newcastle as a credible place- STID showed modest working class people in sunderland who wanted pride back in the team

I work with one who said why would he buy a small club in League 1 when he could buy a bigger one it the PL, i argued that spending less for a club with a well established setup for £40 million rather than buying a club for £350million and having to invest into youth development and training facilities.
He started shouting me down and piping out loads of shite about, what f***ing point is academies when you're club has never produced a player.

I broke off the conversation because essentially just thick as fuck and hurting.

To be fair I think they are buyable, they've got a good, loyal support, no point denying it. What fucks them is that a) they're £350m (we're £40m, if you spent the extra £310m on the team I'm sure we'd be comfortably better than them) and b) I always think land is an issue. What do they actually own? They lease the ground don't they? And the land around it is council owned. We've got a lot of potential there that they simply don't have (unless I'm wrong)

They know they are fucked tomorrow and doubt they will win against LC. If they lose against Watford, I can see them going down, even finishing last.
