3rd Ashes Test - Headingley

When you see the guts displayed by Labuschagne yesterday, standing up to Archer and Broad, getting battered but still getting runs through grit and determination - our lot should be ashamed of themselves and Root needs to come out and say it, rather than fluff about with excuses.
Root needs sacking as captain

What has Root done wrong today? Got a beauty of a ball, when batting too high and exposed due to a lack of openers.

He was at fault in how he used Archer yday but still, he put them in and we rolled them for under 200.

He has to take some responsibility as captain, not so much for the pitfalls of others but for the general team performance.

Short-term he's fine, yes. Long-term, getting Ali back to his best and back in the team is key. A match-winner with bat and ball.
He was bowling medium pacers last week, his head has completely gone. He won't be back for England any time soon

What do we reckon then? We're all saying it, everyone knew it already, the interviews with the players last night and this morning all said it: Loose shots at Headlingley will kill you.

But they've gone out this morning and batted like clubbies. Lack of prep? A bad plan? Braindead?

Burns and Denly managed to face the most deliveries. Shoe in for opening in the second innings ;)
