Of course he could. He'll be part of the group owning the club. Passive just means not involved actively in the management. Although they're sole owners, both Roman Abramovic and Mike Ashley aren't on the boards of their respective clubs. That hasn;t stopped them putting money in.

The shop shouters brigade respectfully disagree.

Lets just pray this gets completed, agree with those saying push academy structure as way forward, although we need to spend to ensure we go up this year, not massive spend on 2/3 quality (for this level) additions.

Having been a seasom ticket holder for 30 years & going to all home since 85....I can honestly say the thought of this level of backing investment nearly brought me to tears this morning to say the shit we have been through on several occasions.

Haway the lads....lets enjoy this ride (long as goes through) & back the club to the hilt as this deal could finially make it possible for us to compete at a level not seen in my lifetime.

PS also agree a certain meltdown will be good to watch, never mind shouting at computers, imagine any of them working for Lloyds bank a horse on a Dell computer....we have heard lets all laugh at sunderland long enough

Of course this is good news. These blokes are investors, and will 100% be looking to make money. The bonus for us is that we wont make much in League One, and realistically not in the Championship. Their plan has to be the Premier League and if they have a plan to get us there and stay there that is gonna fill their pockets, then it's a yes from me.

Apparently the richest owners in the world own New York Red Bulls @ 17.8billion USD. 2nd is Man City at 17billion USD. 3rd is Juve at 16billion USD.

Mr Dell is 25 billion + 3 billionaires in group makes 40billion apparently.

That is mental - we are now the richest club in the world.

Sat here on my Dell laptop which, on the basis it's worth more than a season ticket, makes me more of a supporter than a decent percentage of you.

Ross in.
Got a Dell laptop here in the office and 1 at home, along with 2 Dell monitors and 2 Dell mice. That makes me twice the supporter you are marra. Anyway, Ross in, but attacking more

Dell will be a passive shareholder, ie not on the board. He will also be a minority shareholder.

MSD is all Dells money. It’s a company built to invest Dells personal money. If MSD own 90% or whatever of the club essentially Dell does. The three guys at MSD essentially work for Dell
