I totally get that and I used Dell as a simple example. What I meant was could they not move funds from any number of these 'pies' to facilitate a cash injection through sponsorship of some kind to generate investment in their new pie. Now Ijust want a pie.
they could..but what I mean is fund slike this tend to only be minority shareholders in the things they own..safc is such a small business by their standards they can be majority owners.
Im not saying they cant do it, jusg that its not the same as a man city.

Nobody has any idea as to what the consortium's financial input will be bu this is most certainly a huge step in the right direction. Let's just enjoy the moment.

I'll believe it when it happens. I think people are getting carried away with it to be honest, we first have to get out of this league and have a real good go at promotion for the Prem first. If we had been in the Prem already I might have felt a little different about it but we should not need billions to get out of league 1 that's for sure. Players who are worth a few million in the Prem have gone up to around £20m-£30m will they be prepared to throw around £100m in when we get there? Because we will need a whole new team again by then.

Oh my god does Stewart Donald know. Some one should tell him we can’t use our league one team in the premier league. Premier league players are more expensive you say? Where did you come across this earth shattering news. You really must have your ears close to the ground......AMAZING

well it drops £10m next year..and no evidence these guys want to put that back in themselves..
Yes but they aren't buying is to be the product we are at the minute. Their purchase will only be part of their investment or they risk losing money. How much their investment will be, who knows?

hes a realist mate ;)

micahel dell doesnt own dell..at least not all of it..they probably dot own a majority of anything..the whole reason funds such as these are set up is to allow really rich people have fingers in a lit of pies..not own all of someting..
actually normally you'd be correct but Mr Dell bought back his company

It will be very encouraging if this comes off. An investment group will want us in a position where they can get a revenue stream from us, the only way that could happen would be to get us back to the PL. If they could get us established as a mid table team i’d be over the moon

Same here. If we could be a Burnley or Wolves type (I know they're pushing on further) without having to bankrupt ourselves, I'd be over the moon
sold it last year though...bought it back in 2103 but sold it in 2018..made 10 times his mpney...£25bn last year!

Canny day at the office, that.

I don't think they were out of their depth. They've come on board and worked their socks off in taking the club back to basics and questioning every operating cost etc. They've been a breath of fresh air in IMO. I think they always new that they didn't have the capital to moves us forward in the longer term. At the end of the day SD is a businessman and if he takes 20-30 million with him then fair play. He's gone about it the right way and he's been pretty transparent throughout.

He has and will do a great job for us in league 1 but with all due respect he will be out of his depth in the premier league which is where we should be.
