The situation with weather affecting cricket just hasn’t been brought into the modern era. I know Beefy Botham used to his nut about it too.

It’s an entertainment game. I’m not suggesting they play in rain but fuck me there has to be some way that once the rain has stopped there isnt just hours. And hours. And hours wasted waiting for the outfield to dry... jesus christ.
 
Metoffice giving it a 40-50% chance of rain from 4pm onwards.

BBC giving it 80-100%, wonder why they are so different?

Australia's game plan here will be to get to 250-300 to stay in the game, try to restrict England to a less than 100 lead, and then have the better batting conditions for days 3/4 when its sunny with England batting last chasing a challenging total.

Same as the 1st test basically. England's batters have to perform far better.
