Conceded first in the league again. Great result today but this cost us last season and it doesn’t look like it’s going to improve. Last season Luton won the league by coming straight out the blocks and trying to win games in the first half. Takes us at least half an hour to even turn up

Difference is we got a second today instead of drawing. If 2 or 3 had decided to shoot earlier we would have got more imo.

How did Luton do in their first three games last season? Seeing as you are using them as a benchmark.

The second today was well worked. Not players shitting themselves owa and owa with the ball just bouncing off them until it ended up in the back of the net.

I just think sometimes you have to remember the level it is. Maguire for example played well today, but wasted a few passes. Also if it hadn't been for some poor decision making in front of goal we might have had another couple. Mind I might be ranting more about if we hadn't won.

I get that. The annoying thing is for periods in post games we look fairly comfortable then there's a total brain fart that costs us. We rarely score many from similar shambles.

I think we were much better today (although still not great for large parts). Step in the right direction as last two have been abysmal. Hopefully the 343 is totally binned now and it's admitted it was a total farce.

Need another winger of we stick with this though. Extreme lack of options on bench for wide areas. Presuming this is because he banked on not using wingers during the summer though and we will bring someone in now.

Would that be the same Luton who lost 2 of their first 3 league games and conceded 10 in their first 7 games at the start of last season? There’s plenty of time for our defence to come together, especially since it’s only the second game Willis and Ozturk have played as a pair.

Whats peoples obsession with luton, it doesnt matter how they started the season last season.

We rarely conceded more than 1 goal per game and IMHO the problem lay at the other end. Somewhere around 15 games ended 1 -1
 
We should know our place. The heady days of the premier league are a million miles away. Getting back to and staying in the championship could be a long way off too.
