It’s ok, we are not playing great but have a decent squad, a couple of wins and your near the top. Always said will judge him after 10-15 games if we are nowhere near the top he will prob get sacked anyway
I think he"s had enough time marra. Fair do's. See how we go tomorrow, i want nothing more than a Sunderland team doing well. Fingers crossed. Haaaawwaayy The Lads.

Charlton were in a much worse position than we were, and they went up. So your argument is bollocks mate. We had plenty of players better than league one level - McGeady, Catts, Oviedo, for instance. We have the best squad in this league by a long distance, but our manager is total shite
I just knew someone would bring Charlton up and no they were not in a much worse situation. No where f***ing near. My argument is 'bollocks'? You are completely wrong if you think that this club wasn't in a state of shit last summer. You are the one talking bollocks pal.

Charlton were in a awful state, they finished above and promoted.

What about Luton? Since we played them last in the championship they've been to the conference and back. Promoted.

Portsmouth have suffered much more turmoil than us as a club since we played them in the prem. They finished above us.

Look at Venkys Blackburn. You cant see they are a better run club than us. They were promoted first go from this league.

Wigan the same as Blackburn. Promoted first go.

People need to start being honest with themselves, that includes fans and people at the club. Stop making excuses for the failure. We have resources here other clubs can only dream of and these resources are being used well below their potential. It's not good enough and needs to change, NOW

Or we might just beat Portsmouth and then the noisy minority will say he fluked it , Jack Ross can't win either way .

Of course he f***ing can, he sets the team up with an attacking intent. We dont give away the first goal, and when we go one goal up we dont go straight on the back foot. I hope we batter Portsmouth, and its the beginning of something. His answers to the questions regarding formation are a little baffling, why didnt he just say, "I constantly try to get the best out of the squad, sometimes you have to try different systems to see what works best" And no need for Myths (too many f***ing draws isnt a myth) or dammed if you do, dammed if you dont.

Haway Jack, turn it around starting today, I dont know why he seems so defensive in his interviews, its simple. We want attacking football and wins.

Throwing facts back at people

It's a great point .Local media ( some of whom are mags)are really pushing this " negativity" and " expectation" theme .He must think this is representative of season ticket holders( which I can it is not)tonight our new loanee mcnulty was talking about the negativity at the stadium after questions were likely angled that way..and commented that players needed to have broad enough shoulders to deal with it .he has played at home once in front of 35000 and got nothing but our full backing last week.I know for a fact he enjoyed his first game at the sol ..so for him to come out with a negative angle I would suggest was driven by the line of questioning .
Why not ask " Mark ,playing in front of 35000 in the third tier of English football? That's some crowd"?!special ?
One sure way to get our full support start winning games and play on front foot..starting the morra

Not sure this boards feelings really represent season ticket holders and match goers...we have players better than many teams in this division. With good organisation we should win a lot of games Especially if we play on front foot with fans pushing us forward...too often our attacking spells are in last 15 mins

Great post, Nick Barnes is a f***ing terrible commentator, with regards the local media, I cant remember any of them questioning wor Rafa up the road about the shit he was churning out. Ross is helping them with his under siege responses

Moyes wasnt sacked
 He received a “consultants fee” for advising on his replacement instead of a payoff. How many times does that happen? I’d bet it was a reduction in the payoff to help him save face after his two previous quick sackings. He saves face, safc save cash.
I just hope it doesn’t drag safc into difficulties with the taxman as a self employed consultant fee versus a paye employee payoff fee.
He was sacked.

Ross is trying to hoodwink people with this "myth" thing hes coming out with. Hes keep saying we need to keep more clean sheets to win games, basically using this to excuse his defensive football.

I will argue we need to score more than 1 to win games.

They named 6 substitutes against us last year as they didn’t have enough players. They’ve sold players, also had to sell their main striker, didn’t get to reinvest, and were and still are a complete shambles of a club. They released their manager this summer than rehired him, that’s how shambolic it’s being run. Yet they managed to out do us. Because Ross is an absolute disgrace. We were 1 ahead of Barnsley with 6 to play, a game in hand, and most of the hard games done, and 4 of the 6 at home. And had won 2 on the bounce. The bloke couldn’t cope losing McGeady and the team completely folded as a result. Phrase it however you want but if you think last season represented any kind of success, you are talking complete bollocks

I'm sorry but that truth doesn't fit into to propaganda from the club and Ross' "myth" he and they will have you believe they had the impossible job on their hands. The reality is they made a right cock up of the job at hand.

Ross even got a second bite of the cherry with thr play offs and failed again.

Last season was a MYTH though.

The worrying bit is that we got worse. If we had a difficult summer and struggled at the start but got better and ended in the same place I’d be all for Ross. But we didn’t, and the summer issues clearly weren’t that big when we were top in November. Then Ross started to exert his influence on the team and they got progressively worse. A trend which has continued over the summer

No one can deny we got progressively worse as the season went on. Ross has to take the blame for that

Jesus man. If you would like to nominate Charlton as your entry into the 'Biggest Shambles of a Club' award that's up to you. Whichever way you look at it, regardless of any other team, Sunderland were in a complete mess last summer and that is a fact. I have previously said that Jack Ross hasn't done especially well. I said that he'd done OK given the horrendous situation he had inherited. I also said that 99% of managers wouldn't have got us promoted, which you seem to think. You're therefore saying that pretty much every other manager in the whole football league would have got us promoted. If you wish to believe that it's up to you but to me it just sounds like the ramblings of an irrational frustrated fan. I hope you cheer the lads on today. Enjoy.

We weren’t in much of a mess when we were top in November and pissing the league. Keep believing your myth though. You’re in denial, plain and simple.

You’d think we were the first club to ever get relegated the way some go on here. Most of the mess was financial which had nothing to do with the playing staff whatsoever and won’t have had any impact on them nor on Ross. Donald has done well dealing with the mess but it has very limited impact on the players, and those that we had should have been professional enough to deal with it. 8 wins in 29 games. 8 in 29. Not acceptable by any metric
