Newcastle FC (Aug 19)

Expected a bigger defeat than 1-0.
Strange decision to take off Shelvey and Longstaff, two players likely to find a splitting pass, although Longstaff was poor, but Shelvey and Longstaff are still the best passers. Not even sure what the formation was for the last 30 minutes or so. Willems and Saint-Maximin both seemed be playing in the same position, and Almiron and Joelinton were isolated. Willems looked crap, but early days, he might turn out to an average player.

Didn't expect it to go wrong so quickly. Good stuff.

Gutting your entire midfield on 60 minutes when only trailing by a single goal is a new one for me

I must say that I didn't have a clue what formation you were playing at the end. That winger with the headband looked canny, if a tad unpredictable.

Shelvey was injured

Really ? You sure about that fella ??
FYI Keyboard, check out the “urban dictionary” for the “definition of a mackem” You might be disappointingly surprised.
No worries, we can’t all be right all the time. So cheerio from Sunderland on the east coast of the County of Durham.
Opinions can vary, as ours obviously do. Never mind HTL with three A’s n FTM. See you at the game satda ? Enjoy ?

So theyve hired a boat to protest about Newcaste utd.....and sailed out of Newcastle
WTF is the point in that😂😂

This is like the Peter Kay ice cream man character who would turn up at car crashes to sell his ice creams.

Someone will have a made a load of cash under the guise of being anti Ashley, same as the Benitez wake at the Shark bar, someone is cashing in on the anti Ashley movement, fair play like.
Are they still on the boat?

They've headed out into open water and are currently sailing down the east coast looking for the sports direct shop at Hull. A load of them are going to dress up like captain pugwash and storm ashore undetected and then shout at it for a bit before getting some chips.

U OK Hun?

Does anyone, except the weirdos on the boat, think this wasn't absolute stupidity?

Dear me, these people must have no shame/relatives/self awareness.

This protest was supposed to 'send shock waves around the world of football' ...

...do they really believe anyone gives a shit about Newcastle 😕
This is it in a nutshell. They say that they don’t demand anything- they just want a half decent team, but they have to be the centre of attention because nobody else loves their club like they do. They’ve even lobbied MPs to raise the running of the club in parliament. With everything that’s going on politically at the minute, they think people will actually be outraged at their situation. It’s just fuckwittery of the highest order.

I actually think some of them do think people give a shit.
Undoubtedly some of them do. They’ve been force fed it by look North Korea, Tyne Tyne tv, the chronic and various others that see an opportunity to generate clicks, sell copy or for self promotion, see their tame m.p. It’s a sad fact that some of them are so dumb they just don’t see it.
Truth is that outside of Newcastle, no one, just no one gives a fuck about their club their city or them.

Who is, dressing as Seaman Stains - gorillachump?

Didn't watch the match but I hope they are actually as bad as people are making out on here. Would make a nice little distraction to the season.

Believe me, they were terrible (and Arsenal weren't much better).

The crowd was also just about silent for most of the game, which gave it the feel of a pre-season friendly. It was quite surreal!
