This is true, he wasn’t allowed to ref skunk matches but pretty sure the FA had to bring him in last minute to ref a skunk v smog match and he clearly wanted boro to win and gave them a penalty IIRC

I heard a long interview / feature about him on TalkSport a couple of years ago.

Felt a bit sorry for him TBH. Sounded like a tough childhood had left him craving for attention.

He's very desperate to please others, and be the big 'I am' whenever possible. You got the impression that he actually enjoyed the allegations at Chelsea as it allowed him to get lots of coverage in the media so he could tell everyone what a fine & virtuous chap he really was.

Without reading the article, I guess we are back to him once again creating a story around himself so he gets to talk about his favourite subject. Needs help, IMHO.
