As above and after 10 years of service. I wish him well in his future and I'll always remember his contribution to the 2013 championships, a couple of very timely centuries bringing wins (at least that's my recollection. More lately has been a good 50 over player but also seemed to have been treading water if not slightly under in the CC.

Best wishes

Still don't know if it was his decision or a management decision to hang up the gloves a couple of years ago.it certainly took away his all round importance to the team.
Good servent to the club.

It was said at the time to allow him to develop his batting potential, not that it worked, apart from in 50 over cricket.

He wasn't played as a wicketkeeper for very long as he was always 2nd to Mustard and lately 2nd to Poynter, he maybe had 2 years with the gloves perhaps. His last best year with the bat was in 2015 when he made 964 (pretty good) but no centuries, thereafter his runmaking fell away.

Agree! Always felt he was under the pump playing as a specialist batsmen and probably not quite good enough. But as a keeper batting at 7 he was a decent county player.

Shame. He was fantastic in the RLC and could have done a job in the Blast. I suspect this was on the cards for some time, however, it was suspicious how he didn't have a squad shirt.

Pringle has left
Ooohh. Another one that I had hope of getting somewhere. is it 4 years since he hit 99 and then was caught off a bumper down the legside that he said had actually come off his helmet - never got anywhere close to a 100 since.

A shame but best wishes to him.

Harding gone as well

Hopefully Whitehead can overcome his injury problems. From the few times I've seen the 2nds over the last couple of seasons he's looked decent even on the spinners' graveyard that is the Riverside.

That leaves us worryingly short on spinners. I hope there is somebody else lined up.
That gives us
Scott Steel never seen him but I recall he was taking wickets for the 2nds last year, perhaps it's a fitness issue that meant he hasn't bowled for the 1sts
Cameron Steel, leggie, hope to see him again soon
Trevaskis, got something about him
Whitehead, who I've said looks good. He's the only one to me that looks like a proper spinner and by that I mean he bowls with intent rather than just lobbing the ball down the track.

One of my fav players. A genuinely nice lad and for me got a lot of unjustified criticism and not enough praise for his limited overs contributions, more so outside of Durham. Wish him well for whatever the future holds for him.
