Seems like a nice lad and he looks over the moon to be here. As said on here before reminds me of O'Nien, might be his new pal they can sing into ladles together. Reckon he'll be a fan favourite on Wearside:)
Agree. Seems like a good lad. Hopefully he can do the business on the pitch. We so need a physical, mobile and strong midfielder in our midfield

Not sure why Dickman has been trying to convert Kokolo into a striker when they've been crying out for a Lb and he did well in that position on loan at Darlington as well. He needs to let Kokolo or Hackett nail down that spot or actually bring in a specialist Lb.
As for Oviedo going he needs suitably replacing with a 1st choice Lb/Lwb.
imo you should always try and improve on a position, buying 'cover' players is basically saying he's not as good as what we have.
Hume will still get a chance, hell we played 60 games last season and wing back is a physically demanding role, so he'll definitely get games.
but if hume isnt good enough to be a starting full back at 20 why the fuck did we waste money giving him a contract..

Wtf you on about it's a squad game and he'll get plenty of games, don't forget he started out 3rd choice last season and still managed a fair few.
If James had stayed or if we had someone to step up from the 23's as cover I'd be more than happy for him to be 1st choice. What i don't want though is to bring in someone as 'cover' on a 2 year deal who isn't as good as Hume or have one of our right footed midfielders filling in there.
Might be time to call in that favour from Liverpool and ask for their u23 Lb on loan and let him and Hume fight it out?

have you seen the budget like-/ would you acre to share it with the group if you have?[
If we paid £2m for a 21 year old midfielder from Walsall then we've learned nothing. No club in this division could afford to pay that. We don't have the money and close to the wage cap. That's why it's one in one out. We just have to face facts and get on with it.

yes your right..the players int worth £2m but no source said we have paird that..i was repsonding to a guy talking about the budfget being less than £220k..

You have f***ing no idea how much we have to spend like
My point being we haven't got much money to spend, the club have more or less said it. We won't be spending millions of pounds unless we sell 1 or 2 players for decent money for our league.

If we were signing the likes of Eden Hazard, I might just have heard about them. These are ordinsry third division players from ordinary third division clubs. I hope for better that seems to irk the Canny Leetle Soonlunders. Third division is what they wanted.

I think I covered that without mentioning names.
Perhaps you haven't noticed, but we are in Div1/3rd division. Nobody wants that, but it's a reality you need to face up to.

Yep. Spoke well for a young lad

Aye, sounds like a good character and exactly the type that we've targeted, I've mentioned us going for a Barcelona style culture before and again he is another who seems to embody that.

Mind, does anyone else sometimes cringe at the questions? Just thinking of the one where he's saying about playing in front of 35,000; fair enough ask him about that but does it really need the "that'll be about ten times what Walsall get" type comment? Just sounds a bit crass imo

They have been saying that for years, you cannot deny that money is tight, that's why they needed external investment, Don has repeatedly said what they save now, they can use at a later date when we are in a higher division.
they have repeatedly said they dont need external investment now..thats why they werent bothered about getting it..
four months ago they broke the transfer record for this league,.and the owwner said we are in a very strong financial posiotn..since then they had extra revenue for checkatrade final and play off games..there are howver league rules about wage limots,..they could chuck a load of cash at that to get around it..but that would leave us less cash next year..when we wont have as much money because the para will be gone..they are trying to get out of this leaue as chepaly as possible so they can bspend loads in the league above..htere are risks with that stategy and im certainly very sceotical of it..vut its logical..
