Personally feel it's naive to not adapt to the game situation and just keeping swinging like a rusty gate but each to their own.

Don't think it's a huge issue considering they were 14/3. Smith batting the majority of the overs was the key for Australia, plenty laughed when Mathews did the same against us in the group stage but look how valuable that proved to be.
