Yeah it can still be hit and giggle involving top international players

Its just a big of fun for me like, this world cup has shown how much better proper cricket is.
Exactly how I see it. T20 has its place and it's very entertaining - but it is a total lottery. You need to be a far better player to hack a longer form of the game IMO

People listen to Coldplay. People are idiots.

Must be a hell of a lot of idiots in all the main cricketing nations.

Could not disagree more, people like Burmah and Starc are brilliant at the death in the same way and Kohli, Warner, Sharma, Stokes etc are excellent T20 players.

They is no such thing as proper cricket, just different formats with difffent skills needed, and the best players like the ones above adjust accordingly.

That to me is what been a top cricketer is all about adapting your game to the format, the sign of a true skilful player.

Eh? The longer the format the harder it is, we've seen that this world cup clearly.

Loads of players who are mint at T2o who are nto good enough the longer the format goes on

All you saying there , is loads of T20 players are not good enough for the longer format, fair enough.

But surely the same applies that loads of players who are good at the longer format can’t adapt their game to T20.

So really not sure of your point, other than some players can’t adapt their game to another format which I agree

Not really, the longer format the bigger test of skills

Its a lot easier to hit a 15 ball 30 than it is to score a 100 like

That complete bollocks, it’s played by the best players in the world, and in the case of the IPL is the most watched domestic tournament by a country mile.
I think it's just bowlers whinging because they can't take 7-15 when the pitch, humidity and possibly umpire have done most of the work for them :)

Oh, there'll be a few on your case saying anything less than 5 days isn't actually "proper" cricket :)

Lads, lets not ruin what's been a very exemplary thread so far with this pointless time-filling.

I'm f***ing bricking it for Thursday like. Usually f***ing confident about any match at Edgbaston, but this one...

Apparently it's all about the toss at this WC. Except for New Zealand, who will lose either way.

I knwo what you mean, I'd say I am about confident as I can be for a semi final, in form and at a ground we love, doesn't mean I am confident, justmore than I usually would

I know its a different format, but pretty much this XI did go quarter, semi, final in the T20 world cup, so they have had this pressure before

Looks like Wade will play for Oz, he has been bang in form for 12 months and should really have been in the squad

Forecast shite for Thurs pm, better Friday although still plenty of showers about.

I'm finishing at 12.30 on Thurs, so you can guarantee it'll start pissing down at about 1.30.
