Takeover in trouble

But surely we can only do any of that further along the line, when we see how it pans out and what's paid back into the club or how it is? If that's down in the accounts (which I'm led to believe it is) then it'll need sorting out if someone is coming in with investment. You're constantly getting all hett up, before you really know if there's anything to get hett up about.

You know you're telling us the same thing over and over, yet the first time I heard it on Roker Report it was Donald himself who told us exactly the same thing.
I admit I'm concerned. IMO all the stories from the papers weren't 100% accurate but were on to something. People have said that Donald was telling the truth and everyone had an agenda.

It's just been derailed hasn't it. Great few months reconnecting with fans but having limited funds and really being reluctant to put your own money in has led to this controversy.

This is Sunderland football club man. Can not be so ambiguous with deals and giving a podcast, twitter statements and then suddenly disappeared when some facts come out. It's not small time.

It's not looking good and after last season, I thought we would build. Not even sure we will better last year's position at this current time.

That was the plan it would seem. But I think in reality I think they saw us a fixer upper and then sell us on. It hasn't worked out that way.

I can't be bothered to go through all the podcasts but from the first search, I found this

11:50 Charlie M states it is to secure the payment and then mixes his words to the effect of there not earmarked for that reason.

Regardless of if the money will come back at some point, there should be 24m sat in Sunderlands accounts and not Maddrox's.

To then later state "CM noted that the parachute payment money was always intended to pay off SBC bank debt, and that was precisely the “money coming back into the club”" is dishonest.

Prior to this, I have been critical of the strategy but behind them as people and their intentions. Not after this unless I am getting something very wrong here.

@Cack Stottie can you tell me if I have made it up that SD has repeatedly said on the podcasts that the parachutes were to secure the payment ensuring that he would be paid and inferred that they would do that?

I've been saying the same thing since the stories broke. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

It always is, its all about balance what some need to remember is sometimes it's PR what the club tell us and as these mins from RAWA show is when we get into the finer details things look different from certain points of view.
