Managed to cadge a ticket from an England fan when I got back from work at 530 and made it for the last hour or so

Great win for England but the tournament so far is very high quality and for my home town of Chester Le street it has been great few days

Fantastic stuff and very proud of the north east for being so welcoming and such good hosts

Bairstow and Roy not getting enough credit on here, what they are doing is unbelievable, people taking it for granted

Talking about a special opening pair like we haven't seen before

A player scores 2 hundreds in 2 virtual knock out games and some are fairly dismissive of it.

Some of the states they possess are the best of all time

Was it easy to get tickets for this? or is a luck of a ballot? So pissed off at myself sometimes, I am useless

Mint line by Ian Smith that

Aussies are gonna absolutely roll these over in the semis,

This is the bit we have cocked up, we could have won this group and played these in the semis

Got tickets today off via go go, 10 overs gone, left my house on 12 overs got there on 16 overs.

£95 silver tickets, we paid £25 each with £5 booking fee.

Ideal that like.

They have done great in the last 2 games when England under huge pressure. But in the semi it final if they get off to the same start one of them has to go on and bat through the innings even if they slow down for 10/15 overs. U hope they are not just happy with a 100 when there is 20 overs to bat.

That is a stroke of luck someone must have been desperate to get something back.

Usually everything on there is x10 the price.

look at Root :lol::lol:
Hence why boring tv rules about nudity make it no fun for us at home.

Best opening pair in white ball cricket at the moment I'd say

I'd agree with that. Well, our poor fielding made the difference vs Pakistan. Aussie performance against us was amongst the best of the World Cup so far. The Sri Lanka defeat was shown up for what it was when they got thumped next time out by the already eliminated South Africans. On the other hand, had we not lost to SL and the Aussies, we might not have had the intensity we've shown in the last two matches and might not be going into the semis with some of the momentum we now have.

Kiwis, assuming Pakistan don't get their required miracle, are going into the semi on the back of three defeats, shame we can't face them again.

I think you could make an argument for Morgan batting fluently with 42 from 40 and out in the last 5 to a superb catch. What this match has done, to some extent, is quell the argument regarding Buttler or Stokes getting promoted up the order if the openers get us off to an excellent start.

Don’t think it does tbh as just one match, if England are in the same position again, would certainly not be against Buttler going up the order, as although he has not had the best tournament he has proved over the last 4 years to be England’s most destructive batsman.

I would certainly prefer him risked at 4 than come in say with only 5 overs to go.

Was a superb day yesterday, people from all over the world and a great feel to the place. As a Chester lad I still get a warm buzz at times when I think that a vital world cup game, England involved too is getting played out on the same grass (I know for any pedants) I used to play football on.

The North East is a beautiful place when the weather plays along, was lovely talking to a few Kiwi's yesterday who commented on how amazing C-L-S and Durham as a whole was, nothing like they expected from the UK and a lot like home.

Yesterday’s atmosphere had a totally different feel to a normal Eng test or odi... been to a few England games at CLS and it’s normally one big piss up but it wasn’t for this one...we got in the Wicket gate for 10am after sorting out tickets and it was virtually empty ...bars were a doddle to get served in cos they were quiet... was a lot of people not just from Eng or NZ but from all ower the gaff attending.. loads of Asians and especially Indian fans... had a good vibe about it .. some arsehole Yorkshire fans but they were in the minority .. brilliant day out in the sun and a cracking result for England

There were loads left on at around that price, with the game being in play, i think they cut their losses.

think it was just because it had started and they wanted summit back, the bloke next to me had paid £175.00 the night before too.
