Heard some journo on talksport say he wanted £9.5m a year to stay at the Mags
That's what he'll have meant, when he said Ashley's ambitions didn't match his own.
Rafa had ambitions of a lucrative and improved contract, and Ashley held his nerve and said no.

Putting all my personal views to one side, Ashley has only done what any other owner or CEO would do in business, if he felt that he was being undermined and held to ransom. Ashley has made a commercial decision that he thinks is right for the club and it’s shareholders.
He made a conditional offer to an existing employee whom he wanted to retain, but the said employee has not reciprocated his desire to commit. Don’t fuck about, let the guy go and move on.

Otherwise, every future negotiation, be it with manager or player, will be addressed in the same manner with the owner losing all control.

As for Benitez, if he was trying to bargain with the alleged China offer, he has watched an Owner of a football club call his bluff.

If a player did the same and ultimately moved to China for the monetary gain, the supporters would be up in arms calling him a money grabbing bastard.

As for the Newcastle fans who are up in arms, their expectation is that the manager should be high profile and be sat at the table of the European elite. This is purely to continue the ridiculous perception that they are a club competing for honours on a European scale. Bizarre really, when they have only had a brief period, 20 plus years ago, when they actually did compete but ultimately failed.
So all the mags out there, is he a money grabbing bastard now that he has played you all?

The Beeb were better than Tyne tees who actually led with the story, they only had it on the sports news bit and they did mention Rafa been off to China which the Tyne tees propaganda machine failed to do  :D
Expected better from Simon O Rourke on Tyne Tees , lads been through the brainwashing machine," thou shall not deviate from the prepared script! Ashley is to blame, repeat, Ashley is to blame, there is no other narrative!"

Meeting tonight to discuss protests, one of the suggestions is a march on Westminster.
Magpie Group approached Keegan to be a figure head, but he’s reluctant
Sorry wouldn’t usually link Lee Ryder
Shouting at Parliament now !:lol::lol::lol::lol:
