The statement actually only serves to make things worse up the road because it enrages the fans, pits them against Ashley even more and ensures that no successor is ever going to be accepted. They are going right back to where they were with Tufty, but worse.

Whoever's next I can bet you they will come up with shit like "Not my manager" :lol:

I love how Rafa never mentions what his vision was. It may have been completely unrealistic for a club like Newcastle to achieve without risking financial ruin. Yet that could never be true as it would mean Ashley had the best interests of the club at heart and the fans would never believe that as Rafa would never lie to protect himself.
